you a better understanding of where Hip Hop cam from and what it was all about
back in the day. Hip Hop used to be art, fun, originality and braggidicious.
Now it's about making a million sale and sounding like everybody else. Style
biting back in the day was a big no no. If you bit a rhyme you were wack and
may never come back from that. These mixes are dedicated to the pioneers of
Hip Hop. Cold Crush Brothers, Fantastic Romantic MCs, Bambaataa, Dr Rock and
the Force MC's, Mastadon and the Def Committee, Cosmic Force, DJ Jazzy Jay,
Mr. Magic, Afrika Islam, Busy Bee, King Tim the Third, Curtis Blow, DJ Clark
Kent, Selectah EJah, Rocksteady Crew, NYC Breakers, Blade, Seen and all the
pioneers and supporters of Hip Hop that made this grow to the travesty that
it is now. We need to turn Hip Hop back to an art form and not a fuckin' sell
out machine. Change the music, don't change the feeling it gave us.
